Starting Where You Are At

Starting Where You Are At (Module 37)

An old sea captain was once asked what information he needed to reach a certain destination. His answer was, “two pieces of information!”
The first piece is the actual location of the destination (e.g., London, England). The second piece of information to have is to know where you are at before you start heading toward your destination.

This module is devoted to helping the sales person complete a 30 Minute Snapshot to determine where he or she is presently at in reference to how effective they are as a salesperson right now. Salespeople will get a quick solid look at their Supporting and Opposing Factors, learn how to move Opposing Factors into strengths, eliminate them, or reduce them. While Supporting Factors will be identified for their ability to improve or strengthen them. The tools will be used in a variety of practical exercises to show the possibilities of how to use a “30 Minute Snapshot” as a salesperson. This module will have identified all of the items necessary for actions to be taken into the next module.

Upon completion the students will be able to:

• Utilize the 30 Minute Snapshot to determine their own Opposing and Supporting Factors and how to improve these factors in turn improving their sales effectiveness.
• Use the 30 Minute Snapshot when gathering information and in other areas of their personal and business lives.
